You know what is the best thing about my marriage? Thats right, its my wife Rachel. She is amazing.
Before going further I should say that I have no intentions of bragging. Rather, I have every intention of praising my wonderful, lovely, fabulous, beautiful wife and if any of what follows comes across as bragging, then I apologize.
1. Rachel loves Jesus and spurs me on to love Jesus more. (Excepting point number one, which is the best, the following are not in any particular order).
2. Rachel makes amazing food. She feeds me so well. She's memorized all of my food preferences and is super creative and makes me feel like a king. Today we had meat-loaf for supper, it was incredible.
3. Rachel is very disciplined. When there are things she wants to do, she does them. I am not very disciplined. There are things I want to do that I seldom, if ever, get around to doing (like blogging...). However, Rachel helps me to do the things I want to do (like blogging!).
4. Rachel forgives me when I hurt her. She is very gracious.
5. Rachel is a superb cook, just to be clear.
6. Rachel is adventurous, fun, creative and has a great attitude.
7. Rachel is peaceful. I can rest in her presence.
8. Rachel's tongue is a river of life. She is very encouraging and affirming. She uses her words to build me up and strengthen me. She does not cut me down.
9. Rachel is so self-less in the way she loves me. So often she will do things for the simple fact that it would benefit me, even at her own expense.
10. Rachel is a gift from heaven. "A man can receive no good thing except it is given him from heaven." - John the Baptist, John 3:27.
11. Rachel loves to pray.
12. Rachel has an incredible memory. Her memory has helped me many times, I can't even remember how many times her memory has saved me from trouble.
13. Rachel is always ready to help people. I have seen her pouring herself out to serve people when she was tired or busy or even in really awkward moments. She can be doing one thing and then become aware of someone's need and immediately make herself available to help or encourage or pray with someone.
13b. Rachel is very good at helping me. I need lots of help.
14. Rachel is very beautiful, and she is mine.
15. Rachel exhibits the characteristics of a godly wife. She has a gentle and quiet spirit. She voluntarily submits to my leading even when I fail her.
These are a mere fraction of a portion of some of the top 10 reasons why my wife is amazing.
